Seriously?

Note to my "hairstylist:"

Do not show up for our appointment drunk. I don't care that your boyfriend dj's in Park City and you've been partying all night.

Seriously.

Do not shave off over two inches of hair after we discuss making it "a little bit shorter."

Seriously.

Do not style it into a mohawk - I am not seventeen years old and trying too hard.

I mean, seriously.

How it looked when I arrived home.

After working with it for a while - I look like a freakin' boy. Plus, when did I get so much gray?

I know it will grow out, but - you know what's coming - seriously.

I realize that a botched haircut is no laughing matter, but this might just be the FUNNIEST blog post I've ever read! Thank you for sharing. :)

And you are beautiful, even styled as a 20 something year old trying to be a punk rock 17 year old.

Please tell me you are going to complain?!?

ps- hope the pictures were okay...let me know!

Um, first of all, you look adorable...but you may want to consider a new stylist?

ARe you kidding me!? I guess the bright side is that you look great, but still.... I've got a fantastic stylist (I normally wouldn't advertise but she is that good) if you are interested.

I can relate to the "just a little trim" accidents. I wanted an A-line cut, and told her I wanted it to be a sharp angle. I ended up with the back of my hair shaved, and the front past my jawline. I looked like I had two flaps of hair on the side of my head, like dog ears. Some people should not be allowed to cut hair. That being said, get some pomade and piece it out until it grows, and know that you are not alone.....

I'm back, thanks for adding me. Glad I didn't miss these pictures. Your descriptions and writings are so well written - you should write for a news paper or magazine.

Thanks for the blog invite Danielle! Pete got a haircut the other day. I think it finally fixed the uneven bits from when I cut it last time with scissors. I actually tried to use our clippers but they were so dull they would start to tug at his hair - and no kid will sit through that. The only way I could get him to sit still was to give him a sucker, and sit him on a chair with a movie on, otherwise he was jumping off the seat after a minute :) The final product was okay and about as much as I could get him to sit for.

WOW! Not sure what to say, but I love mine....been seeing her for 9 years. I must have a good stylist since Tammy said I always had such "cute hair"!

Nothing is more annoying than a bad haircut... or funnier!

Yell- somehow you pull it off. I can only imagine what kind of look you must have been giving your stylist as this faux-hawk was styled. Too good.
