The Scholar

 Such a smart boy...
Or, maybe judging by how much he loves TV, it may be fleeting.

Obsessed Much?

Right now, Cole is absolutely enthralled with Transformers.  We have watched every episode of "Rescue Bots" about 15 times.  When he's not watching the cartoon, or playing with the toys, he attempts to make himself into a Transformer.

The creations so far:
(Yes, those are Lego wheels taped to his shoulders, wrists and ankles.)

Needless to say, we are quickly running out of masking tape at our house.

A Brief Moment of Quiet

The Scientist

One of the gifts we got for Cole's birthday this year was a pack of science experiments (thank you, Costco!).  One was a dinosaur we dug out of a block of sand.  Another was a volcano that we put together, painted, and then exploded.  We had a lot of fun with the experiments, and it gave me a small glimpse into what elementary school is going to be like.  Sigh.

Wild Wild West

A few weeks ago, we took a quick trip down to Thanksgiving Point.  Our intention was to go to the corn maze and pumpkin festival, but the wait to buy tickets (just to buy tickets!) was 45 minutes long.  We went over the "Barnyard Book," instead.  It was pretty meh, although the boys did ride ponies.  To my surprise, Cole refused to let me help him, and rode on his own.  Jack kept a death grip on Bryce.
Oh, and did I mention that my mom and I made Bryce sit in the back?  Look how comfy!

A Peek Into the Future...

...and the sky-high cell phone bills these two will generate.

Halloween Re-Cap

I'm just going to be honest - this year, Halloween was half-assed at our house.  Halloween costumes were store-bought.  Pumpkins were quickly carved by Bryce and I as Jack was asleep and Cole was in time-out for locking us out of the house.  Trunk-or-treats were missed due to soccer games.  The night of Halloween itself was a bust as Jack was running a 104 degree temperature.  See how much fun he had?
 Yay Halloween.

Here's some pictures.  Can we move along to pumpkin pie, now?
