Saying No

Once again, Cole and Jack's school has made it impossible for me to say "NO" to buying pictures. They turned out so cute, I just couldn't resist. Plus, I couldn't have all those other mothers judging me if I didn't buy them. I mean, really.

Merry Christmas

After our crazy Christmas Eve, Christmas was relatively tame and lots of fun. The boys had fun opening their gifts from Santa, as well as from Pa & Nana. We also enjoyed time with Grandma and Grandpa Allen, and the Thomsen's as well. From our home to yours - Merry Christmas!

The Oddest Christmas Eve Yet

We had a crazy Christmas Eve this year. It started that morning when Bryce got called in to work. His company is almost finished with a project and he had to get some bugs taken care of that day. He was gone most of the day, which was tough as Jack had been running a fever. That afternoon, we woke Jack up from his nap, and he was burning up. A quick temperature check showed his at 104.5. Bryce bundled him up and took him to the Riverton Primary Children's.

Soon after he left, Pa and Nana arrived as we had planned to go to the Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo. We weren't sure what to do, but we got a call from Bryce saying that Jack was doing okay and they were monitoring him. We decided to go ahead and check out the lights. We ended up having a great time, but missed Bryce and worried about Jack.
Once we got home, I got a call from Bryce saying that we had the all clear to take Jack home. No RSV - phew! They finally got home and we were able to decorate cookies for Santa. Cole really liked putting red hots on his.
It was definitely a crazy day, but what Christmas Eve wouldn't be?!

Thomsen Christmas Party

Once again, we had a great time with the Thomsens for Christmas. We enjoyed reading the nativity, opening gifts, and having fun. And Jack enjoyed getting lots of attention! :)

Fancy Girls Night Out

The girls decided that this year, we needed a fancy girls night. We don't really get to dress up much, and it was fun to be all dolled up. We had appetizers at Britt's, and everything was delicious. Being fancy is fun!

Gingerbread Houses

Always an awesome tradition. Thank you, Leslie, for hosting!

Barber Party

The Annual Barber party was a lot of fun - as always! We were so excited to see Jack as Baby Jesus and Cole as a shepherd, and they both did a great job.
We were all worn out by the end of the night:

Winter Sing

Cole's school had their annual winter sing last week, and, as always, it was so fun to see the kids. Cole's group sang "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," "Jingle Bells," and "Once There Was a Snowman." I was very proud that Cole knew all the actions and sang along. He even stole the show at the end and shouted "Merry Christmas!" to the group.
