Does this mean I'm a grown up?

Many of you may know, but I thought I'd make it official...

Bryce and I are expecting!!!

We currently have a due date of October 5th.
(Which I'm kind of hoping gets moved back so I can be on FMLA through Christmas!)
This is the night we found out...January 30th...I truly hope this isn't a foreshadowing of how haggard and tired I'm going to look as a mother.

We had so much fun telling our families over the past couple of weeks. At the monthly Barber get-together, my parents wore "Grandma" and "Grandpa" t-shirts under their jackets. They took the jackets off, and everyone was so cute and excited. It was such fun!
We also told the Thomsen's this weekend. Bryce mentioned that he had received his favorite birthday present ever from me. He then pulled this out...
(It's kind of small writing, but says, "What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?")

We're feeling very excited and overwhelmed, and are hoping everything goes well. We love you all and are so grateful to have such supportive family and friends in our lives!

My Adorable Husband

We came home from work, and I decided it would be really delicious to have taco salads.
Alas, the sour cream in our fridge had expired -
and you know how sour cream is an integral part of anything taco-related.
My sweet husband volunteered to go pick up some extra salsa and sour cream at the store.

This is what he returned with.

Delicious cottage cheese taco salads. :)
Oh well, I appreciate that he was so willing to go get us what we needed after a long drive home. A+ for effort!

A Contradiction, If I May

I love spring. I love that it is warm (but not hot), and that I can walk around without my coat. I love that it is still sunny when I get home from work. I even love the rain. I do not love that my yard is all dirt and needs sprinklers & sod. A new house sounds like such a good idea in the winter!

Jumping on the Bandwagon

So, I've finally decided to copy everyone around me and start a blog. :) I kind of figure this gets me out of writing in my journal, which is always a good thing. Let me know if you have any suggestions at all - thanks!
