Barber Party
The Annual Barber party was a lot of fun - as always! We were so excited to see Jack as Baby Jesus and Cole as a shepherd, and they both did a great job.
We were all worn out by the end of the night:
Winter Sing
Cole's school had their annual winter sing last week, and, as always, it was so fun to see the kids. Cole's group sang "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," "Jingle Bells," and "Once There Was a Snowman." I was very proud that Cole knew all the actions and sang along. He even stole the show at the end and shouted "Merry Christmas!" to the group.

Halloween
This Halloween was a bit low-key - I had every intention of going to a pumpkin patch or corn maze, and it just didn't happen. Cole's school did have a fun Halloween party. When Isak found out that Cole was going to be a blue scary monster with one eye, he decided he must be a red scary monster with one eye. (Sorry, Bill & Carrie!) They were adorable in their costumes, and had fun roaring at each other.
Jack was our little Jack-O-Lattern.
Halloween night was fun, and the boys had fun trick or treating. Cole seemed to enjoy handing candy out quite a bit, and kept telling everyone how much he liked their costumes.

Museum of Natural History
On Saturday, we had the chance to preview the new Museum of Natural History up at the U. It was absolutely amazing, and for those of you who have kids, they will love it.
The view is stunning, of course. The top floor is appropriately labeled "Sky."
We loved how interactive all of the exhibits were. Instead of just showing pictures of cells, they had gigantic puzzles you could put together.
Instead of pictures of fossils, they had actual skulls you could touch.
Cole loved the dinosaur exhibit, of course. He was able to dig for fossils, and talk to a real-life scientist who showed him a T-Rex tooth.
I love this picture. Right after we took it, he looked down at the bones and said, "Hey guys! What are you doing down there?"
Jack also had a great time.
