It's hard to believe that yesterday was Jack's official due date. He'll be 9 weeks old on Monday, and has been home with us for a month. He's doing great, and we love getting to know all his little quirks. Cole has been a fabulous big brother and is always very concerned that Baby Jack is doing okay.

Birthday Girl
A big "Happy Birthday" goes out to Britt, who turned the big 3-0 last week. On Saturday, a group of us gathered at Cafe Madrid to celebrate and then headed up to the canyons for a "mallo" roast. We had a great night, with a lot of laughs and some SUPER delicious food.
The group:
The gals:The birthday girl:Baby Eel...12 seconds of sangria for 12 months of good fortune! On to the mallo roast!
Thanks again, Britt and Corey! What a fabulous night!

Cole-isms
While sitting on his bed -
C: Don't let me fall through the crack, Mama.
Me: I won't - I'll keep you safe, sweetheart.
C: (Giving me a big hug) No, I'll keep you safe. We are both sweethearts.
C: Look - that's where they make sand and gravel. They can give gravel to people and they will say, "Thank you. I can use some of that."
Me: How are the kids in your class at school doing?
C: Good.
Me: Do you have any other kids you really like?
C: I like them all. But sometimes the girls cry for their mommies. (Said with an eye roll.)
